Jalios at the Firefighters Congress in Toulouse: the digital transformation of SDIS !

From 4 to 8 October, Jalios took part in the SDIS Congress, the must-attend annual event dedicated to France's fire-fighters, which brought together nearly 500 exhibitors, 3,000 delegates and several tens of thousands of visitors over 4 days.

We take a look back at the event with Philippe Charron, Sales Manager for the West of France, and Thomas Feignon, Pre-Sales Consultant, who were present on the Jalios stand. They tell us about the role of Jalios and its ecosystem in helping professional and volunteer firefighters, as well as administrative staff, in their day-to-day work.

A must-attend conference for fire fighters

Philippe, what was the atmosphere like at the conference and why was Jalios there ?

The atmosphere was great! We were delighted to meet up with our customers and partners, in particular Atol CD, Eolas, et Digiwin, with whom we work closely to support the SDIS in their digital transformation and the implementation of their intranet. We now have more than 20 SDIS customers, including Haute-Garonne (31), Charente-Maritime (17), Tarn (81) and Landes (40), who use the Jalios solution on a daily basis to cover all the needs of their agents.

During the conference, we were able to host an exclusive workshop featuring the testimony of SDIS 31 (Haute-Garonne), with Stéphane Legay sharing his experience with the solution integrated by our partner, Digiwin Groupe TRSb. It was a privilege for Jalios to receive this feedback, especially as this customer was the organiser of this year's conference in Toulouse.

And to round off this wonderful meeting, we organised an afterwork and shared a privileged moment of meeting and exchange over a drink.

Digital transformation, a major challenge for fire brigades

Thomas, what was the most popular aspect of the demos you were able to run on the Jalios stand?

Thomas Feignon, Pre-Sales Consultant at Jalios

Functionalities meeting the challenges of internal communication were obviously eagerly awaited: news distribution (JNews), internal SDIS diary (JEvent). There were also strong expectations in terms of mobility: access to all information and the ability to submit requests or field reports (JProcess) from a smartphone.

But there were also other recurring needs: the search engine, collaborative spaces (document sharing, exchanges of best practice, knowledge bases, etc.), the skills directory, training and skills acquisition with our dedicated skills book application, the application launcher and the integration of business tools.

Customer feedback: the Digital Workplace of SDIS 31 Haute Garonne

Jean-Guillaume, Digiwin is an integrator partner of SDIS 31. How does the Digital Workplace of an SDIS like SDIS31 differ from Digital Workplaces in other organisations ?

Jean-Guillaume Buvry, Director of the Atlantic Agency at Digiwin Groupe TRSb

The Digital Workplace of an SDIS contains all or most of the functionalities that we can find in other organisations, with the exception that SDISs have a large Deskless population, the volunteer fire-fighters. One of the main challenges in this type of project is to ensure that this population is fully included in the system and that a maximum number of services are provided via a suitable and accessible mobile application, such as managing their schedules and training.

Their mission is not to spend time on their smartphone, but to serve the public; their Digital Workplace must help them to be more efficient on a daily basis. This commitment is undoubtedly even stronger when we carry out projects for our firefighters. With this in mind, Digiwin is helping firefighters with their digital transformation, with a number of SDIS already as customers, including SDIS Charente-Maritime (17), Tarn (81), Haute-Vienne (87) and Val-d'Oise (95).

A collaborative platform for everyone, including volunteer firefighters

Lina, Eolas is supporting the digital transformation of many fire brigades. Why is the Jalios solution particularly well suited to the needs of fire brigades ?

Lina Granda, Business Engineer at Eolas Business & Decision Group

The solution proposed by Jalios meets the requirements of the SDIS by offering a real gateway to business applications. It also encourages the inclusion of all fire-fighters, which is one of the main challenges. Jalios offers a multitude of functionalities to meet the precise needs of each establishment, which is particularly appreciated by firefighters. So there's a solution for every situation.
