JTranslate

With JTranslate, collaboration goes beyond the language. Everyone participates in their language, JTranslate can translate on the fly and at the request of users.

Does your organization operate in an international context, with teams or subsidiaries in different countries that speak different languages? Would you like to develop collaboration and knowledge sharing between colleagues from different countries?

JTranslate helps your editorial teams write content in multiple languages, by providing them with a basis for automatic translation during writing: they then only have to proofread before publishing. With JTranslate, users can request on-the-fly automatic translation of posts in languages they don't speak. They can thus read and interact with content that they would not understand without the help of JTranslate.

JTranslate can be used in several contexts:

  • On the fly in activity feeds, conversations, comments, micro-blogging
  • On publications: articles, blog posts, JMag links or web pages
  • When writing content in the WYSIWYG text editor
  • In dedicated application, also available on the move

JTranslate automatically detects the language of the original text and translates it into the language of the logged in user.

For each translation carried out by JTranslate, a tooltip specifies which language was translated and with which translation engine.

In terms of settings, JTranslate allows you to specify:

  • Languages available for translation
  • Types of content that can be automatically translated
  • People and groups who can use the automatic translation feature
  • The translation engines used
  • Choice of translation engines

JTranslate uses free or paid translation engines that you have access to or subscribe to. Completely transparent for users, and by simple configuration, it therefore allows the best translation engines to be used specifically to translate from one language to another. JTranslate also caches the translations carried out in order to optimize the performance and costs associated with these translation engines.

The translation engines currently tested and supported by JTranslate are:

  • Google Translate
  • Microsoft Translator
  • Systran Translation API
  • DeepL Translator
  • Watson Translator

What customers like

  • Streamlining information means gaining efficiency and collective intelligence.

"With JTranslate, information is even more fluid between people who doesn't speak the same language. JTranslate allows interactions that were not possible. These interactions create bonds between people and strengthen the organization."

  • The freedom to choose the translation engine

"This is particularly important for sensitive data. With JTranslate, it is possible to choose Systran, which allows for on-premise installation and avoids sending data in plain text to the cloud services of other translation engines. Or choose DeepL which is hosted in Europe and is therefore subject to the European GDPR. For each translation, it is clearly indicated in a tooltip which language was detected and which translation engine was used."
