JMag

Do collaborative monitoring and innovate together thanks to the JMag module!

Your teams work on specialized and competitive subjects, and are required to monitor them by browsing the web. Make this technological or competitive monitoring a collective and collaborative approach!

Instead of sending emails to share your readings, use JMag: shared pages benefit all of your teams. They are thus capitalized and searchable, as well as the exchanges associated with these pages: enough to fuel your internal innovation process by allowing all your employees to contribute on different monitoring themes.

The JMag module is a collaborative monitoring tool. It allows users to share on JPlatform articles, sites and more generally internet pages that seem relevant to them while browsing the web. These pages are shared across spaces and classified into categories. Users can discuss it using comments. JMag mainly has two components:

  • A collection/sharing system
  • And an application to view and navigate the collected pages.

Sharing a page includes a title, a description, a visual and the URL of the page in question. The module automatically pre-populates these fields from the URL, and invites the sharing user to also post a first comment regarding this page. This information is indexed by the search engine, which makes it possible to find shared pages.

JMag offers several ways to collect pages:

  • One-click sharing: directly from the page to share and thanks to the JMag extension available on Chrome, Firefox and Opera. Microsoft IE11 and Edge users have a Bookmarklet equivalent to add to their favorites.
  • Sharing via activity feed: to share a link via its URL, as simple as sharing a micro-blogging in the activity wall.
  • Sharing via reading list: from your reading list (JReading module). Indeed, before sharing in JMag, users can take the time to read the content of a page in detail by collecting it in their personal reading list.

To view shared pages, the JMag module offers a dedicated application. This can be used cross-functionally or within a collaborative space. In a transversal way, the user has access to all shared pages regardless of the spaces to which they are attached (while respecting access rights). Within a collaborative space, the user only sees the pages attached to this space.

This interface allows you to:

  • Filter to search for pages according to different criteria (text, author, categories, etc.);
  • Display new pages (not yet viewed) or those added to your reading list;
  • Quickly mark a page as already seen by clicking on the cross at the top right of each card;
  • View the description and comments associated with a page, and interact with likes and comments;
  • Recommend a page to other members;
  • Add a page to your reading list;
  • Go directly to the content.

Pages shared in JMag can also be highlighted in a portal via a carousel or a list.

The JMag module is fully available in the JMobile mobile application. It is also one of the most relevant uses in mobility:

  • To consult the links shared in JMag;
  • To share from mobile web browser or other mobile applications.

What customers like

  • Monitoring as you go and organized by theme: a competitive advantage

"Staying informed about what's new in the market or what our competitors are doing is essential in our sector, and this approach is a good habit to adopt at all levels for all our teams. With JMag, this collaborative monitoring happens naturally and as it happens: our employees share quickly and simply as they read. The monitoring is organized into well-defined themes, and we can classify the links shared with keywords. The fact that the pages are indexed and searchable helps to build our knowledge of the market or a technology, which in the medium and long term constitutes a definite asset for our company."

  • Share and consult the day before on my mobile in transport

"With collaborative monitoring on mobile, our employees can use their time in transport or other waiting times to monitor: they can browse shared pages and also contribute by resharing as they are used to to share on social networks; The sources can be newsletters or news subscriptions consulted on their mobile, from the browser or other dedicated mobile news applications (press, reader, etc.)."
